Who We Are
Solomon's Porch Korea started in a living room in 2021 as a small church plant out of Solomon's Porch Hong Kong. We are a non-denominational English-speaking church here in Seoul.
We want to be a local church. Although we are an international church, we believe God has called us to be a church in Korea to serve the people of Korea. We are committed to praying for and working toward the flourishing of Korea.
We want to be a church where people can encounter the living God. Our prayer is that everyone who comes to SP Korea will have a genuine encounter with Him, experiencing His kindness, joy, and glory. We believe in and pursue the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit.
We want to be a community of disciples. We take the word of God seriously, striving to live a life of obedience and become more like Jesus.
Our Pastor
In the summer of 2024, Pastor Nate Chung moved to Seoul from Hong Kong to begin serving as lead pastor. He grew up in Hong Kong from the age of 11, where he spent over 30 years of his life. In 2008, he started working as a Worship and Youth Pastor in SP Hong Kong. He served as Executive Pastor there for several years before he relocated to Korea.
As a pastor, he enjoys apologetics, worship leading, teaching, and the ministry of presence. Outside of ministry, he enjoys photography and trying to stay healthy through kettlebell workouts.
Pastor Nate is married to Monica Kim, and they have three amazing children: Joel, Owen, and Zoe.
